The impacts of the pandemic on the quality of teaching in remotely delivered synchronous, also referred to as online in this presentation, classes have been under-researched. While previous studies bring to light significant educational issues which could inform teaching and learning during the pandemic, the need to investigate the successes and challenges of online teaching during the pandemic is felt, given the popularity of online education during this time.
