Angèlie Gilchrist Blanchard is a student of the accelerated Graphic Design & Interactive Media Diploma at the Toronto Film School (TFS). Achieving excellence in her studies, Angèlie has upheld a spot on both the President’s and Honours lists throughout the year. Her academic interests and strengths include identity design (branding), page layout and infographic design, motion design, as well as hand lettering and surface pattern design.

After completing her Bachelor of Commerce with Honours in Marketing at the University of Ottawa in 2007, Angèlie spent nearly 15 years working as a Corporate Event Planner in the not-for-profit sector in Ottawa. With the arrival of Covid-19, and seeing the strain of a global pandemic on her industry, Angèlie decided to pursue her long-time love of typography and design, and began her studies at TFS in January of 2021.

After graduation, Angèlie intends to take her decade and a half of project management experience, along with her freshly minted diploma, and build a career as a freelance designer. Angèlie lives in Ottawa, Ontario, with her husband and two young daughters.
